About Us

Education

Dr. Arnold Watkin earned his General Dentistry degree in 1969 from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. After working in private practice in London, England, he entered the two-year post-graduate program in prosthodontics at Boston University in 1970. Concurrently he obtained his prosthodontic training and master’s degree, while also holding the position of Assistant Clinical Professor in Prosthodontics until 1981.

Private Practice

Since 1981, Dr. Watkin has owned and managed two multi-specialty dental practices – in Boston and in Fitchburg, MA. He is currently focusing his full-time efforts at the Fitchburg facility. In 1991, Dr. Watkin established the first Dental Hygiene School in the Slovak Republic. He has lectured in the areas of crown & bridge, esthetic dentistry, and implantology both nationally and internationally. In 1996, he established the Dental Educational Institute, which offers continuing education to dentists and dental hygienists in New England. He currently serves as chairman of the institute.

Education

Dr. Adam May attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he earned his DMD degree in 2005. After graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency through Harvard School of Dental Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital & Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His undergraduate education was completed at the University of Kansas.

Professional Focus

After completing his formal education, Dr. May entered private practice in 2006. He became a full-time member of the clinical team at Watkin Dental Associates in late 2007. He enjoys all aspects of general and family dentistry in Fitchburg and is certified in Invisalign® orthodontics. Dr. May’s chief professional focus is to provide comprehensive and preventive care with an honest and straightforward approach in our multi-specialty group practice. Dr. May is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Personal Life

Dr. May is originally from Andover, Kansas. He moved to the Boston area to pursue his dental education. He and his wife married in Boston in 2001 and are now very pleased to call New England home. He is always happy and willing to see new patients, their families, or their friends.

Education

Dr. Kashmanian, a Springfield Massachusetts native, graduated from Classical High School before earning a BS in Biology and Chemistry from American International College in 1982. He then graduated Summa Cum Laude with a DMD degree from Tufts Dental School in 1986. In 1990, Dr. Kashmanian graduated from Tufts and Boston University’s combined program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He joined Watkin Dental Associates in August 2006.

Education

Dr. Hiroshi Hinenoya earned his DDS degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1995, where he participated in the Advanced Standing Program for foreign dentists. Prior to moving to the U.S., Dr. Hinenoya practiced dentistry in his native Japan. He graduated from the Osaka Dental University in 1989. Thereafter, he received advanced training in endodontics at the same institution. He then practiced for several years in Kyoto, Japan, before his emigration to the United States and is licensed to practice in both the US and Japan.

Dental Career

Before moving to Boston, Dr. Hinenoya spent five years practicing general dentistry in Belleville, New Jersey. Dr. Hinenoya is skilled in all facets of general dentistry, and has advanced training in oral surgery and endodontics. He has been a full-time associate at Watkin Osorio Dental Associates since 1999. Dr. Hinenoya joined our Fitchburg practice in 2006 as a general dentist with special emphasis on endodontics, oral surgery, and sedation dentistry.

Dr. Hinenoya is an active member of the American Dental Association and American Academy of General Dentistry.

Education

Dr. Josephine Pandolfo attended Boston University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Subsequently she attended Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she was earned her DMD and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Implantology and Oral Medicine.

Career

Dr. Pandolfo has been the staff periodontist for the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is currently in private practice in Peabody, Massachusetts while still maintaining staff privileges at both the Northshore Medical Center and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

For many years, Dr. Pandolfo has been a member of the Boston University Dental School Alumni Board and served as president for three years. She is an active member in the Massachusetts Dental Society, who awarded Dr. Pandolfo the William McKenna Volunteer Hero Award in 2016. Dr. Pandolfo is past chairperson and an active board member of the Northshore District Dental Society.

Dr. Pandolfo’s professional affiliations include the American Academy of Periodontology & Implantology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontics, the American Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Dental Society.

Education

Originally from Japan, third-generation dentist, Dr. Hidetada Moroi attended Osaka Dental College, where he received his General Dentistry degree in 1990. Soon after, Dr. Moroi moved to Boston, where he attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a Periodontics and Dental Implantology specialization. Aside from publishing numerous peer-revied journal articles, Dr. Moroi also shares his expertise through teaching. Currently, Dr. Moroi holds a teaching position at his alma mater, Tufts University, where he works as an assistant clinical professor.

Professional Focus

After his formal education, Dr. Moroi began practicing in Massachusetts in 1999. Over his 20+ years of experience, Dr. Moroi has honed his craft in all avenues, particularly in dental surgery, dental implant surgery, and periodontal plastic surgery, in which he has advanced training. Dr. Moroi is also well known for championing optimum function and esthetic results for his patients, ensuring his patients look and feel their best.

Dr. Moroi is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Education

Dr. Datar was born and raised in Mumbai, India where he completed his High School education. He completed his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery from Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College, Pune, India in 1995 and worked as a general dentist in Mumbai, India from 1995-1998. He came to the United States to pursue research in 1998 in Oral Biology and Pathology at Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA in 1998. He completed his PhD and studied biological effects of light and light cured resins used in dental restorations on surrounding tissues. He also completed a one year fellowship in Vascular Biology and Pharmacology studying heart diseases, stains and other oxidative stress.

Professional Focus

Dr. Datar completed his advanced standing DMD program from Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2006 and has been in private practice. He has extensive experience in full mouth reconstruction, implant restorations, oral surgery, dentures and restorative dentistry. He is a problem solver and always likes to face challenges while rendering dental care. He is passionate about his profession and truly focuses on changing one smile at a time. With his vast experience he has a good sense of positive clinical outcomes catered for individual patients based upon their needs.

More About Dr. Datar

Dr. Datar lives with his family in Wayland and has 2 daughters. Besides work, Dr. Datar likes to do outdoor activities on weekends like running, hiking, traveling and walking on trails with his family and friends. He has been running marathons for the last few years and trains for them on a regular basis. He is an avid reader, good cook and also loves to meditate regularly.
